Crazy 88 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu cements itself at the top of the heap with all eleven competitors pulling more than their own weight.  It was a great last tournament of the year; we produced 3 new Intermediate No-Gi champions, another White Belt Open Champion, and 2 more Blue Belt Open Co-Champions.

A few months ago, I predicted Generation FOUR of Crazy 88 would produce some spectacular results and I was right. This should address some of the claims from rival schools that claim that our competitive success is simply due to “sandbagging”.

Evan “Oz” Gideon becomes the first person in Crazy 88 history to get 4 Gold medals at a single event. He has entered 6 divisions to date and won only 1st places. Start date: July 19, 2008. No previous grappling experience.

Jon “Devastator” Delbrugge closes out the Blue Belt Open with veteran Phil Thorn in his first tournament at a Blue Belt (promoted last Saturday)! Start date: June 1, 2008. One year High School wrestling.

CJ “Never Back Down” Melton adds White Belt weight class Gold to his Beginner No-Gi Gold from last month. Currently competing Advanced No-Gi. Start date: Feb 4, 2008. No previous grappling experience.

Next up, the North American Grappling Championships run by NAGA!
