2010 European Jiu-Jitsu Championships Results – Day Two
Posted on January 29th, 2010 No commentsRoberto Torralbas (Third Law BJJ) defeated Daniel Holm (Checkmat BJJ) 6-0 with a takedown and back take.
Roberto Torralbas won his 2nd match 2-0.
In the quarterfinals, Roberto faced off against Bruno Goncalves (Gracie Barra). Goncalves scored first with a quarter-guard sweep and Roberto came back with a sweep of his own, tying the score at 2-2. The match ended with Roberto having folded Goncalves legs. We were confident in the referee’s decision but the official raised the other competitor’s hand. Unfortunately, that is the way it goes if the match goes to a referee’s decision.
Jon “Devastator” Delbrugge won his first match 12-0 vs. Tulle Edman (Nacka Dojo). Jon was able to control from the top position and repeatedly pass for the victory.
Jon’s next opponent was the returning champion from last year, Janne Autio (Alliance Europe). Most of the match was in Jon’s half-guard with Janne stabilizing the position. Halfway through the match, Jon fell privy to a tight Kimura which forced the tapout.
Tomorrow is the Brown Belts and Black Belt Open!
